Lamine Yamal pulled off an exquisite assist for Barcelona team-mate Dani Olmo in their La Liga clash with local rivals Espanyol.

High-flying Barcelona took the lead in the 12th minute when 17-year-old Yamal's defence-splitting pass set up Olmo, who took his goal in fine fashion. Raphinha then doubled the home team's lead 11 minutes later, before Olmo grabbed his second just after the hour mark to put the Blaugrana well on the way to victory.

At the time of writing, Barcelona are nine points clear at the top of La Liga, although bitter rivals Real Madrid have a game in hand. Hansi Flick's team are on fire in the early stages of the season and young players such as Yamal, who received the La Liga player of the month award for October before the Espanyol game, are playing a huge part in that impressive effort.

Yamal's Barcelona take a break from La Liga action on Wednesday when they travel to Red Star Belgrade when the Champions League returns. They then have a trip to Real Sociedad next Sunday in the league.
