World of Warcraft has clarified that most artifact weapon appearances, save those earned from the Mage Tower or PvP, will be available to earn in Legion Remix. Fans can use this limited-time event to permanently unlock most of the stunning artifact weapon appearances from the original run of Legion for their World of Warcraft accounts.
Legion Remix is coming to World of Warcraft soon, with the high-excitement rerun of the critically-acclaimed expansion as the main event of Patch 11.2.5, releasing on October 7. However, even as the limited-time game mode draws closer, there have been some conflicting reports on whether appearances of artifact weapons would be obtainable in Legion Remix.
Most Artifact Weapon Appearances are In WoW: Legion Remix
Now, World of Warcraft has cleared the air on which artifact appearances will be earnable in Legion Remix. In a post on the Blizzard forums, WoW community manager Kaivax confirmed that all four color variants of the Original, Upgraded, Valorous, and Hidden artifact weapons will be obtainable via Legion Remix. Like all the other rewards in this game mode, players will unlock them for their entire accounts if earned, enabling them to use these weapon transmogs on their characters in the main game.

Notably excluded from this list are the Challenging and War-torn versions of the artifact weapons. The former were obtained through the high-difficulty Mage Tower solo instance encounters, while the latter was earned through PvP. World of Warcraft: Legion Remix will not feature the Mage Tower or significant PvP content, meaning fans won’t be able to get these now-unobtainable variants.
There are still some questions as to how classes like the Paladin or Mage will be able to get their Hidden appearances, as they previously required characters to leave the Broken Isles to earn, something that will not be possible in Legion Remix outside specific circumstances. It is possible Blizzard has changed the acquisition methods for these items to accommodate the event’s restrictions, but players will have to wait until WoW: Legion Remix starts to find out for certain.
Beyond Legion Remix, Patch 11.2.5 brings some other exciting features to World of Warcraft as well. While it does not include any new campaign chapters for World of Warcraft: The War Within, it does add five character slots for every account, improvements to the Cooldown Manager, and a Turbo-Boost for Season 3 progression. It also marks the penultimate update for The War Within, meaning the Midnight expansion is drawing closer.
