“I’ve had enough of these stupid rumours. You need to ask the club, whether the club wants me to keep going or not.

“If I have one more year on my contract here and no one says anything, then I suppose that I am going to be here. If there's a decision and someone says to me 'ciao', okay. But we don't know at the moment”.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Argentine has been under scrutiny all season for the club's performances, despite a plethora of issues surrounding the club. From overspending in the summer transfer window, to recently having 14 first-team players injured for their match against Spurs, he hasn't been handed an easy task in taking the Blues back to glory.

However, with expectations high – and rumors swirling of the Blues making yet another managerial change this summer, the 52-year-old appears to now be fed up with the constant chatter surrounding his role with the club.
