Guardiola's current deal with the Premier League champions expires at the end of the season, and long-time ally Txiki Begiristain's decision to step down as director of football sparked fears that the coach would follow him out the exit door.

The six-time Premier League-winning manager will not be leaving just yet, though, as reports that he has agreed to sign a one-year extension that will keep him tied to the club until the end of the 2025-26 campaign. An official announcement is expected soon, the report says, with the '99%' of the deal agreed.
