In the rapid-fire video the Milan star chose Theo Walcott for speed, Xavi Hernandez for passing ability and former Dortmund colleague Mats Hummels for defensive aptitude. Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi was his top dribbler, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided the shooting power.

Former Chelsea team-mates N'Golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta made it for their strength and leadership respectively while in the final category of 'banter', Pulisic opted for livewire fellow American McKennie.

Pulisic drew on four former team-mates for his selection with plenty to choose from having spent four seasons at Borussia Dortmund and three-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge. The forward has also racked up an impressive 66 appearances for the USMNT at just 25 years of age.
